2-Week Training Camp:
A Soulful Head Start: Our goal is to help your puppy develop good habits and become a well-rounded, well-behaved dog.
For over a decade, we have seen that the most successful transitions happen when a puppy has a gentle bridge from our living room to yours. Our 2-Week Head Start Program is designed to provide your puppy with an intentional head start during those critical first fourteen days after they leave their littermates.
By staying with our professional trainers and us until they are ten weeks old, your puppy moves past the initial adjustment period and begins mastering the foundations of a well-mannered companion. We do the heavy lifting of establishing routines so you can focus on the connection.
Winning the Night & Den Logic
Establishing a Peaceful Sleep Schedule
One of the most valuable aspects of this program is our focus on the sleep schedule. By graduation, we aim to have your puppy comfortably sleeping in their crate. While every "Teddy Bear" has unique needs, most puppies at this stage can successfully go through the night without a potty break, though we remain flexible and attentive to those who still require a midnight outing.
While it is normal for a young scholar to offer a few initial "crate protests," our trainers use gentle Den Logic to ensure these complaints gradually lessen as your puppy learns to view their crate as a safe, quiet sanctuary for rest.
Setting the Rhythm for Potty Success
We continue the intensive work on potty training to ensure you are set up for success at home. Your puppy follows a rigorous schedule, being taken outside to their designated spot at least once an hour throughout the day.
We also incorporate regular, scheduled crate naps during the day. This not only prevents "over-tiredness" (the leading cause of puppy nipping) but also aids significantly in their potty training journey.
While we emphasize cleanliness, we believe in scientific integrity—it is important to remember that it is not yet developmentally appropriate to expect a 10-week-old puppy to be 100% accident-free, but they leave us with a deep understanding of the "rhythm" of the outdoors.
Communication, Focus, and Manners
During these two weeks, your puppy is immersed in our boutique academy curriculum, focusing on:
Name Recognition: We help your puppy recognize their name and respond promptly, creating the first vital link in your lifelong bond.
"Manding" Training: A cornerstone of the Windsong Way. We teach your puppy to offer polite behaviors (like sitting) to gain your attention or a reward, rather than jumping or barking.
Basic Commands: At this stage, our scholars have mastered "Sit" and are hard at work learning "Down." We reinforce these commands daily to ensure they are followed consistently.
Manners Development: We guide your puppy through the social nuances of a home, encouraging gentle interactions with people and other animals while discouraging rude behaviors like barking for attention or jumping up.

4-Week: Puppy Prep
The goal of these four weeks is to build a rock-solid foundation for your puppy before they ever leave our arms. We focus on the most important stuff—like crate training, potty routines, and their very first manners—so they are already used to 'house rules' by the time they get to your living room. It gives you a massive head start and makes that first month of puppy parenting way more about snuggles and way less about the chaos.

9-Week: Ready-for-Home
We designed these nine weeks to be a total game-changer for your family. Our goal is to send home a puppy that isn't just cute, but is also smart and steady. By the time they graduate, they’ll be pros at sleeping in their crate and following all their first basic commands, which means you get to spend your first week home actually enjoying your 'Teddy Bear' instead of worrying about the rules."

Your journey with us doesn't end at the hand-off. For every family enrolled in our 2-week program, we provide an additional 2 weeks of text support and phone calls as needed.
