Goldendoodle Breeders in Aspen
The Premier
For more than a decade, Windsong Doodles has been the leader in 'Teddy Bear' Goldendoodles. Born and raised in the heart of our home, every puppy is nurtured underfoot in our living room alongside our five children and our cats. We believe this soulful environment is the only way to raise a truly well-adjusted companion, and we balance that heart with uncompromising scientific integrity.
Anchored by rigorous health standards—including comprehensive OFA clearances and genetic DNA screening—we ensure every puppy begins their journey with a foundation of strength and structural excellence. This commitment to vitality is the heartbeat of our program, and we back it with a written 2-year health guarantee to ensure your "Golden Life" begins with total confidence.
We are dedicated to providing families with healthy, well-socialized doodle puppies that are emotionally intuitive—making them ideal for service work, therapy potential, and lifelong companionship.
By the time they leave our arms, they have a foundation of confidence and real-world experience that prepares them for a lifetime of success in your home.
From our living room in San Diego to Aspen, and beyond, we have provided a boutique experience for families across the West who have invited a Windsong puppy into their home.
We review every application thoughtfully, with no obligation to commit.

At Windsong, we believe raising a puppy is about more than genetics or training. It is about heart, connection, and giving each puppy the strongest possible start.
Raised inside our loving family home, our puppies receive intentional early development, daily enrichment, real-world experiences, and an early service-based curriculum that helps build confidence, focus, and connection.
All Windsong puppies go on to become beloved companions, and many grow into exceptional therapy dogs and service dogs.
Because bringing home a puppy should feel like bringing home family.
When you choose Windsong, you choose family.

We Believe In Raising Our Pups With:
-
The first thing to know about Windsong is that we are NOT a kennel or a facility. Our puppies are raised INSIDE our home with our 5 children. They receive round-the-clock care from birth until they join their new family at 8 weeks.
Our puppies are loved on from their first day of life by children, cats, and most of all me! At 4 weeks, they move to our living room, where they can observe and interact more closely with our family. By the time you pick your puppy up at 8 weeks old, he/she is used to the noise and commotion of daily life in a busy family home.
-
We are committed to breeding genetically sound dogs and providing the world with healthy puppies. We raise our pups in a pristine home, favoring a holistic lifestyle, including providing only the best. Our team does not take shortcuts. We go above and beyond to make sure each and every client has the support they need to replicate this at home.
Before you receive your pup, we can guarantee they have been nourished with a high-quality diet, twice-filtered water, proper supplements for optimum support and growth, and that every parent dog has the necessary genetic testing (which is our key to raising healthy puppies).
We are passionate about health and are proud to offer a 2-year health guarantee on all our puppies.

The happiness and well-being of our moms, dads, and puppies are extremely important to us. All of our breeding dogs live in our home or in loving guardian homes with their forever families.
Our puppies have so much fun during their first 8 weeks of life with us at Windsong. They offer daily enrichment and a comprehensive curriculum that encourages our pups to be confident, well-socialized, and unfazed by the world outside the confines of our loving home.
We believe there is a right and wrong way to breed. We are not a kennel; all of our dogs are well-cared-for and cherished family members.

Frequently Asked Questions
We want you to feel completely confident as you prepare to bring your new best friend home and start your journey into "The Golden Life."
We’ve gathered the answers to the questions we hear most often about how we raise, health-test, and deliver our signature Teddy Bear puppies.

We are located in the heart of Southern California, serving families from Aspen, Colorado and beyond. But the most important thing to know is that we are a family, not a kennel or a facility. We have five kids and a very busy, loving household. Our puppies are born and raised right inside our home, underfoot and in our arms. By the time they head to your house at 8 weeks, they’re already used to the "beautiful commotion" of daily life—the vacuum, the kids playing, and even our cats. We think that makes them the best kind of well-adjusted family companions.
-
Think of it as a head start for a great life. We don’t just "let them grow"; we follow a specific curriculum that includes ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation) and confidence-building exercises. We want our puppies to be brave, smart, and intuitive. This early work is why so many of our dogs go on to be amazing therapy or service dogs, but honestly, it’s just as important for a puppy that’s simply going to be your best friend. It makes them calmer, easier to train, and much more connected to their people from day one.
-
Choosing a breeder is a big decision, and in a state as big as California, you’ll see everything from large facilities to backyard setups. Look for a California goldendoodle breeder who is completely transparent about health testing—not just a vet check, but actual OFA clearances for hips, heart, and patellas, along with genetic DNA screening. A reputable breeder should also be able to tell you exactly how the puppies are raised. Are they in a kennel, or are they underfoot in a home? At Windsong, we believe that being a "leader" in this breed means prioritizing both the science of health and the heart of a family-raised environment.
-
Raising puppies in a home environment, rather than a kennel, makes a world of difference in their temperament and transition. Puppies raised "underfoot" are naturally more intuitive and emotionally in tune with people. They arrive at your home already understanding the rhythm of a family—they’ve been snuggled on sofas, watched our kids play, and felt like part of a family from day one. This creates that "velcro-dog" bond and service-dog potential that Windsong Doodles are known for.
-
Socialization starts long before you pick up your puppy. You want a breeder who exposes their litters to the sights and sounds of real life. Our puppies are raised inside our home with our five children and our cats. They are used to the "beautiful commotion" of a busy household—vacuums, doorbells, and lots of hands-on love. This early exposure helps them grow into confident, unfazed adults who are ready for everything from a hiking trail in Telluride to a quiet afternoon on a patio in Boulder..

Health is everything to us. We’ve all heard the horror stories associated with "backyard breeders," and we go the extra mile to make sure that isn't us. We prioritize scientific integrity, which means every one of our parent dogs must pass their "big three" OFA tests (Hips, Heart, and Patellas) and full genetic DNA checks before they ever have a litter. On top of that, every single puppy we send home comes with a 2-year health guarantee. It’s about giving you that peace of mind that your new best friend is built for a long, vibrant life.
-
A legitimate health guarantee is only as good as the health testing of the parents. To find a doodle breeder in Aspen you can trust, ask to see their OFA and DNA results for their sires and dams. Because we put so much work into vetting our parent dogs, we are proud to offer a comprehensive 2-year health guarantee on all our puppies. It’s our way of standing behind our lines and giving our families peace of mind that their new best friend is bred for a long, vibrant life.
-
That’s one of the main reasons we love this breed! We specialize in that iconic "Teddy Bear" look—the blocky heads and the plush, wavy coats. Most of our puppies are F1B or Multigen, which are the best options for families who need a low-to-no shedding, hypoallergenic dog. While no dog is 100% allergy-proof, our lines are specifically bred to be very friendly for people who usually sneeze around dogs. You get that soft, "hug-a-cloud" feel and the "velcro-dog" personality without finding hair all over your sofa.
-
We would love that! While we’re based in SoCal, our "Teddy Bear" puppies have found families all over the West, from Aspen to Denver and beyond. We offer a wonderful "white-glove" flight nanny service where your puppy stays right with a real person in the cabin the whole way. Just keep in mind that since this is a personalized service, travel is an additional cost on top of the puppy price. We handle all the logistics so you can just focus on getting the house ready for your new arrival.
-
Yes! We are one of the few boutique breeders in Southern California that offers a structured training curriculum right in our home. Our signature "Puppy Kindergarten" goes way beyond the basics. We use Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and intentional socialization to build confidence and focus. Whether you’re in Aspen, or somewhere in Colorado you can choose from our 4-week or 9-week training options to give your puppy a massive head start on potty training, crate training, and manners before they ever leave our arms.
